What started as a passion for teaching the game grew into a belief — that coaches at every level deserve clear, practical tools that make their programs better. No jargon. No guesswork. Just teaching that works.

Whether you’re a brand-new coach stepping onto the sideline for the first time, or a seasoned coach looking to sharpen your system, Brown Hoops Co. exists to give you the structure, clarity, and support you need to succeed.

WHY I COACH?

I coach because this game builds people.

Basketball gives players confidence, structure, and purpose — and coaches play a huge role in shaping that. My mission has always been to help athletes and coaches grow through simple systems, clear communication, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Coaching isn’t just about winning games.
It’s about building programs, building habits, and building people.

Brown Hoops Co. is my way of expanding that mission — passing on everything I’ve learned so more coaches can lead with confidence and clarity.

MY COACHING BACKGROUND

MY COACHING philosophy

  • I’ve spent the last decade coaching basketball at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels, working with teams that were senior-led, youth-heavy, and everything in between. Those years have taught me that no matter the roster, a clear and simple system can level the playing field.

    My passion is helping young and developing coaches find confidence in their voice, their style, and the way they teach the game. I’ve always been drawn to modern offensive concepts and disciplined zone-based defensive systems, and my goal has become making them easy to understand and easy to run.

    Along the way, I’ve had the chance to build programs, lead teams, and guide players in a variety of roles — from coach to teacher to program director. I currently serve as an Athletic Director, Dean of Students, and Head Girls Basketball Coach at Centura Public Schools, and I’m also the founder of the Loup Basin River Rats program.

    I’m grateful for every opportunity the game has given me, and Brown Hoops Co. is simply an extension of that: a place to share what I’ve learned, support other coaches, and help make the game a little clearer for anyone who loves it.
